The Illinois Health Care Worker Background Check and Agency Policies Act requires that Futures Unlimited, Inc. conduct Criminal Background Checks on all staff.  Persons convicted of certain felonies (specified in the Act) are prohibited from being employed in a Direct Care position unless a waiver is granted by the Illinois Department of Human Services.  Staff will be checked for any substantial findings of abuse or neglect through the Illinois Department of Public Health Nurse Aid Registry before hire.  It is also required that staff take a Pre-Employment Drug Test.  Employment is contingent on the results of the Criminal Background Check and the Nurse Aid Registry. You will not be hired if the results from the Drug Test are positive.  Some positions may also require a Physical Function test.
