Job Placement

      Futures Unlimited partners with the Department of Human Services, division of Rehabilitation Services to provide Job Placement Services to persons seeking employment in the community.  Services can include:

  •       Evaluation and assessment

  •       Application assistance

  •       Resume development

  •       Help with job search

  •       Employment referrals

  •       Short and long-term help keeping a job

     Last year 40 persons who received assistance from the Employment Services program obtained jobs in Pontiac and surrounding areas.  The average wage was $8.02 per hour.  These included jobs in the following areas: 

  •        Construction           

  •        Telemarketing

  •        Janitorial                                               

  •        Engineering                      

  •        Factory labor

  •        Restaurant-food service

  •        Computer data-entry

  •        Retail

  •        Video store
